Summary
To inform the development of A Guide to HIA: A policy tool for New Zealand, the Public Health Advisory Committee carried out an HIA on a review of the way that passenger transport is funded in NZ. This report describes the process and what happened as a result. The PHAC made a submission to TransFund as part of the review process, making recommendations that would strengthen the public health component of the proposal. The experience of this HIA informed the further development of the Guide.
